Landscape
As a matter of fact I painted my first landscape many years after leaving my homeland Brazil removing my entire life to Israel. Surprisingly it happened following a trip I made to Morocco. Something to do with the dominant colors and the contact with the population felt very familiar. A sort of voyage in time. through a place where I had never been before I reconnected to a world in which I was born and in which I spent my childhood and my teenage years. It was Morocco that suddenly released all colors of the palette with all its nuances and joys. Landscape paintings allow spatial eyesight. Landscape paintings allow recognizing different and new horizons. Landscape paintings necessarily express that in this world there is “that” and “that” (also). The wide open space enable self awareness of different perspectives of looking at anything. There is always space for a move, to rise, to free oneself. And the colors…the colors can be Tropical, they can be North African as long as we notice them they’ll surely lift our spirits!
